The recipe is simple but it’s time-consuming, so be sure to give yourself a few hours to make it. Add jalapeno into the mashed potatoes and leave for a while to give it a little time to really “melt” in your mouth. Don’t be afraid to go a little crazy with the jalapeno flavor.

You could always just use regular potatoes, but the amount of heat needed is lower than making them with the jalapeno. But either way, this recipe is definitely worth the effort.

Jalapenos can be a little on the overpowering side, but its worth keeping in mind that the amount of heat they provide can be offset by using less of them. The same goes for the amount of cheese you use. The amount of cheese you use should be equal or less than the amount of jalapeno. That should minimize the amount of heat you are going to produce.

The amount of heat needed is the only thing that is difficult to measure in this recipe because the potatoes are really dry. So the amount of cheese you use will affect the amount of heat you get. I’ve had to play around with this a little bit. I’ve found that using just a little bit of cheese at a time is enough to help the potatoes cook through much quicker. Using 1/4 pound of cheese at a time works well for me.

Its not often that you have to make a complicated recipe in a short amount of time, but this is one of those times. The amount of cheese you need to use will affect the amount of heat you can get out of the potatoes. You want to use about 1 1/2 lbs of cheese to cover the potatoes if you want to have as much heat as possible. If you put the potatoes in a pot and add the cheese, you can get quite a bit of heat.
