The word ‘bean curd’ may conjure up images of a puddle of warm, creamy milk sauce, but this dish shows how to do it right. Beans, onions, and ginger are brought together to create a curd, then the thick sauce is poured over it, creating a velvety texture.

While a bean curd recipe could be a bit over-the-top, my sister and I both love it, so we thought we’d try to make one for ourselves.
