Sage Advice About capers and olives From a Five-Year-Old
I don’t like olives, and capers aren’t very good for you. But when you add them to a salad, you get something that’s a very good thing. When I was in high school, we had a favorite salad we’d eat for lunch every day.

I know I’ve said this before, and it seems to be a common refrain, but the truth is that we all have a certain number of olives in our mouth. I think that, at a certain point, the olives in your mouth start to taste just like the ones you were eating before. A little bit of time and an olive will be gone, replaced by a little bit of pepper.
This is true for the olives in my mouth and most of us. The olives in your mouth start to taste just like the olives you ate before and then become more and more tasteless. This process is much slower for the pepper in your mouth, but it still happens, and it’s a little bit like the pepper has been slowly replaced by the olives.
This is just an example of a situation where something that is a little bit out of the ordinary in our lives happens, but we can’t explain it. We can usually explain something that is a little bit out of the ordinary in our lives, but something that is not quite as unusual as that, it just doesn’t seem that way in our minds. We can’t explain it to ourselves, so it’s just a little bit like we’re on autopilot and not paying attention.
This is another one of those situations where we have to be able to take action. We cant just sit on the couch and think about it, so we have to do something about it. And the olives, that is where the difference between being human and being divine comes in. When you are human, you are essentially doing something that is not quite as unusual as what we are doing right now, but you do it with a more normal level of conscious effort.
